Grant-Tech Remote Support

Only download and run these tools if you are actively working with a Grant-Tech technician.

Windows 10/11 computers

Use this download for Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs. It is a single support launcher, so there is no ZIP file to extract.

  1. Download Grant-Tech Support for Windows.
  2. Open the downloaded Grant-Tech-Support-Windows.exe file.
  3. If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info, then Run anyway, but only if you downloaded it from Grant-Tech and are actively working with a Grant-Tech technician.
  4. When RustDesk opens, give your technician the ID and one-time password shown on screen.

macOS computers

Use this download for Mac computers. The installer will install RustDesk, apply Grant-Tech support settings, and open RustDesk.

  1. Download the Grant-Tech Support for macOS package.
  2. Open the ZIP file.
  3. Double-click Install Grant-Tech Support.command. If macOS blocks it, right-click the file and choose Open.
  4. Enter the Mac password if prompted.
  5. Approve RustDesk in macOS Privacy & Security when prompted, including Screen Recording and Accessibility.
  6. Give your technician the RustDesk ID and one-time password shown on screen.

Linux computers

Use this download only if you are actively working with a Grant-Tech technician. The Linux package installs RustDesk where supported, applies Grant-Tech support settings, and opens RustDesk.

  1. Download the Grant-Tech Support for Linux package.
  2. Extract the ZIP file.
  3. Open a Terminal in the extracted folder.
  4. Run chmod +x “Install Grant-Tech Support.sh”, then run ./”Install Grant-Tech Support.sh”.
  5. Enter your Linux password if prompted.
  6. When RustDesk opens, give your technician the RustDesk ID and one-time password shown on screen.
  7. If Linux asks for screen sharing, accessibility, or remote-control permission, allow RustDesk. On some Wayland desktops, Grant-Tech may ask you to switch to an X11/Xorg session for full control.
